Another day during lunch break

I came across these beautiful sakuras nearby my house when i was taking out my trash. Was luckly that i took a photo of it because by the time i got home during the evening the wind was so strong that it blew most of it away.

Something i've design for a catalogue cover for NEW ZEALAND TATTOO SUPPLY. I scanned in the illustration and played around with the layout. Still in progress of touching up a few things.

Typography Ad

This is another layout of the type on the window display. Really love the colors as well.



While i was walking to Dim sum in the morning in Auckland this ad just really caught my eye. Its just a simple layout but yet really creative with the typography played around. ^^

"Nian"

My version of illustrated character called "Nian". Unfortunately its just the head.
This is a new step to another modern Chinese old folk tale.Its still in progress because i got a lil' rusty since i last illustrated it.I'll be heading towards combining my name "Ming & Nian". You will see more of it soon.

Cows

Another thing that i've done during the past time while waiting for a job. And i have even decided to frame them. And it is quite costly for frames here in NZ $$.
Why anatomy of cows? hmmm... New Zealand is filled with cows and sheep i call it the moo..baa.. land *wink. I love NZ!!

Guessing? They are my still life gold fishes painted on watercolor paper with india ink. One of my favorites.

My boyfriend said it was a good feng shui when i didn't realize while drawing it. It has 8 koi is it with a "s" or "es" on it? Oh well you know what i mean. And oops u can't really see it because the photo is cropped.

Spring 07'

Spring has always been one of my favorite season throughout the year. This is what i think about spring when it comes to my mind. Sometimes its hard to capture the most beautiful moments without a camera by your side but by capturing it with your mind and drawing it out always turns out different from what you imagine.
